OCAC alumni Tracy Taylor Nehrling, Beth Robinson, Brianna Cross and Cyan Bott are showing “Where Do We Go From Here?“ at SideShow Gallery in Portland during the month of June. These four artists come together to present work based on a common interest in working with materials and concepts at hand. Together they are questioning life, taking stock in their surroundings, and forging ahead with a combination of both camaraderie and bootstrap ethic. Opening June 4, 2009 6:00-8:00PM. Moe Snyder (Book Arts 07) has had 2 pieces accepted in “The Beautiful Book” exhibition at 23 Sandy Gallery, 623 NE Sandy, Portland. The show runs June 5-27, 2009, with first Friday festivities from 6-9 pm.

Rachel Wiecking (Book Arts ‘02) is finishing her first year of graduate school in Interdisciplinary Art + Design/Art History at Purchase College in New York. She has been nominated for the Dedalus Foundation Master of Fine Art Fellowship in Sculpture by the Purchase graduate faculty.
Andrew Buckland (Photo ‘06) has accepted a Job at New York University as a Manager of the Advanced Media Studio he started this past December. He also has 5 images in the “Unorthodox Landscapes” Exhibition at Chesapeake gallery at Harford Community College, Bel Air, Maryland from June 5 - September 18, 2009. Nicole Gibbs (Ceramics ‘06) showed her graduate thesis work in Ohio State’s “2009 MFA Exhibition: Begged, Borrowed, and Stolen” (http://www.uas.osu.edu/mfa2009). Three pieces of her work have also been selected for “After the Pedestal: The 5th Annual Exhibition of Smaller Sculpture from the Region” at The Sculpture Center in Cleveland, OH. In addition, she was just awarded a solo exhibition at the Ohio Art League Gallery in Columbus, OH for January 2010.
